We all want quick ways to help get the extra weight off a little faster and a little easier. These 20 things can help with that!

20 Things You Can Do To Jumpstart Your Weight Loss

  1. Drink more Water. You knew I was going to say that didn’t you?? Drinking water is an easy way to drop a few pound.
  2. Buy a set of 5-8 pound weights. Strength training can burn off fat faster than cardio. Bye cardio!
  3. Stop Dieting. Yeah I said it! Stop going on these “diets” and just start eating healthier! Diets are restrictive and make overindulging easier.
  4. Grill your veggies. Grilled veggies can be a game changer for you and who knows, maybe you’ll eat more of them.
  5. Use smaller plates. The average plate now is about the size of a watermelon! Ditch that thing and buy a smaller plate. It’s a physiological thing-don’t ask me why it works!
  6. Relax more. Did you know that stress causes serious weight gain? Learn to chill out more. Go for a walk, meditate or just set in the dark closet. It doesn’t matter how you relax… the point here is to do more of it.
  7. Veggies Please! Start adding veggies to ALL (yes, all) of your meals. Grill em, steam em, roast em… whatever you got to do to eat more!
  8. Eat less fruit. Yes, fruit is good for you but fruit is also loaded down with sugar. It may be Natural Sugar but guess what… sugar is still sugar. It still causes weight gain if you have too much of it!
  9. Get a Killer Playlist. Music can get your soul pumping and you fired up to workout. Get a playlist loaded down with your fav tunes and get movin!
  10. Skip TV and Facebook. Yepp I said that too. All I’m saying here is that if we spent as much time focused on our health as we do on TV and Facebook… well you get my point.
  11. Read the Ingredients. The very first thing you should look at before you eat something is the ingredients label. Not calories, carbs, etc. (those are important too). But if it has more than 5 ingredients, don’t eat it!
  12. Add some Summer Heat. Spice up your life a little by eating more spicy foods like peppers. The heat will help you burn fat.
  13. Make Fruit the Star of Dessert. If you insist on having desert, grab some fruit instead of foods loaded with sugar. Find a new fruit dessert recipe to try!
  14. Read a Beach Book. When you lay down for bed, find yourself a good relaxing book to read. This will help you sleep better and we all know that not sleeping enough causes weight gain.
  15. Walk after Dinner. Take a short walk with your family after dinner. This is a easy, simple way to get in a little workout.
  16. Try a New Workout. If your sick of doing the same old workouts, find something new to try. Who knows, you may fall in love with it and want to do it everyday. And yes, that can happen!
  17. Meal Plan. I can’t stress this one enough! If you want to lose weight and get healthy, you need to eat healthy. The easiest way to do that is to make a meal plan. Here’s my FREE Meal Plan Guide if you want to get started.
  18. Meal Prep. What are we all guilty of? Swinging through the drive through because we don’t have anything else to eat. The solution? Prepare your meals in advance and take them with you.
  19. Carry a Cooler. See number 18. 🙂
  20. Get a Partner! More specifically, an accountability partner. Ya know, someone to ask you why you haven’t got up from the couch all day and to give you a friendly reminder that you have a workout to do. This helps a lot with weight loss!
