How to get motivated
Why did you get out of bed this morning?
Why did you make coffee?
How come you like dogs instead of cats?
Why in the world do some people love exercise and you don’t?
How come it seems easy for some to lose weight and not others?
Regardless of what you’re doing or what you want to do, there is a reason behind it.
You got out of bed this morning for a reason. You made coffee today for a reason. You don’t exercise for a reason. There is a reason why you won’t eat healthy.
Motivation comes from those reasons.
The Reason Why You Can’t Get Motivated
Do you get on Pinterest and look at motivational quotes and weight loss ideas and pictures of healthy, fit women whose body you admire?
See the problem with motivation is that we look for outside sources to motivate us. We try to find “things” or other people to motivate us so we can finally get the results we want.
While those things will inspire you, they won’t motivate you to get off the couch and do something about your current situation.
The only reason why you don’t have any motivation is because you don’t have a compelling reason to lose weight or get the body you want.
I lost 22 pounds because I found a compelling reason to do it.
What was my reason?
Well, I was sick of feeling and looking the way I did. I was sick of battling with myself each day over how I looked. I was sick of feeling like crap and not having an energy or drive to do anything.
